TRAINING – Business Readiness Suite

PCL understand well the impact of system changes on your business. To help you communicate the issues and prepare your organisation for change we have developed a suite of Business Readiness material. The suite allows each customer to select the most useful tools for their organisation.

Our training and business consulting teams can help you deliver the material in workshops and presentations or you can manage the delivery with your own staff.

The Business Readiness Suite contains the following material;

  • Senior Management Briefing
  • Project Team Awareness Training
  • Business and Users – Get Ready, Be Ready and Succeed
  • Customer and Supplier Communications Pack
  • Internal Support Team/Help Desk Training

To give you an insight into the type of material we have provided an overview of the Internal Support Team/Help Desk Training.

It is our experience at PCL that the staff who man the internal support team or help desk within your organisation are not usually members of the project team nor will they have played an active part in your implementation or upgrade project. We will all however, demand high quality front line service from them when the new system transitions into live use. At PCL we recognise that this team needs focused training and advice on how to be ready for the new live system. The template we use for preparing this training covers the following items;

  • Highlight process change areas by application
  • Communicate all outstanding issues from testing and transition
  • Debrief from project team on any business issues
  • Timetable for first month of use and first month-end
  • Agreed escalation path for live issues
  • Agreed method for use of project team as additional support if required
  • Overview of project library

It is our experience that even where there are complex issues outstanding or large libraries of material to reference, this course can be delivered in a day. The key benefit is the task itself of preparing for the course, and therefore collating all the various materials and information. The watch word of course is forewarned is forearmed.
